ATLANTA, Ga. (InvestigateTV) — A scroll through social media can make a mountain cabin, beachfront rental or luxury resort look like an easy escape. But some AI-generated travel videos may not accurately show the property a viewer would book or the price a viewer would pay. We reviewed TikTok posts promoting real hotels, resorts and vacation rentals. The posts included TikTok labels stating they were generated with artificial intelligence and that the creator earns commission. Several directed viewers to major booking services, including Expedia and Booking.com. In multiple examples, the apparently AI-generated video did not appear to match the property’s official listing or other photos. In others, the price promoted in the video was not a deal we could locate when we checked the listing. Using AI to create travel posts is not inherently illegal. The concern is whether commercial posts create a misleading impression about a real property, price, amenity, review or travel experience. W
